Globalization had started ever since people travel around
the world. With globalization, the whole world began to be integrated closer.
Especially with the help of Information Communication Technology (ICT), it
enhanced globalization even more. Different countries around the world began to
influence each other at a faster rate. Nowadays is easier to find people with
friends from different nationalities across the world unlike the past.
Information Technology becomes the important channel to know more about other
world.
But having a proper channel does not bring about
communication. We need ways to communicate and that is when English Language
becomes very important. English is widely used around the world as far as communication
is a concern. Living in a globalized world, it is important as I may meet
people of different nationality all the time. Especially in Singapore, where
there are influxes of foreigners, English becomes an important form of communication,
which helps us to understand each other. Not only that, English is a good form
of communication in the business world where we have dealings, trades across the
world. Good English enhances businesses as it can brings the right message
across which prevents misunderstandings.
